For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform additional desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Stem cell factor (SCF) is the ligand of the c-Kit oncogene and is expressed by various structural and inflammatory cells in the airways.
Binding of SCF to the c-Kit receptor induces receptor homodimerization and activates signaling pathways such as PI-3, PLC-gamma, Jak/STAT, and MAP kinase.
SCF expression promotes mast cell survival and release of histamine, cytokines, and chemokines.
Inhibition of the SCF/c-Kit pathway reduces histamine levels, mast cell and eosinophil infiltration, IL-4 production, and airway hyperresponsiveness, suggesting therapeutic potential in inflammatory diseases such as asthma.
At least two isoforms of SCF are known to exist.
