Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGFs) are a family of growth factors sharing a conserved cysteine pattern and common receptors.
They stimulate endothelial cells, promote angiogenesis, increase vascular permeability, and inhibit apoptosis.
VEGFB, structurally similar to VEGF and PIGF, exists in two isoforms (VEGFB167 and VEGFB186).
- VEGFB167: Heparin-binding, remains with the cell or extracellular matrix.
- VEGFB186: Readily secreted.
VEGFB binds to VEGFR1 (flt1) but not VEGFR2 and is abundant in heart, skeletal muscle, and pancreas.
It may be associated with lymph node metastasis in breast cancer.
The VEGFB gene is located on chromosome 11q13.
