Target Information
Themis is a cytoplasmic protein essential for positive selection and development of single-positive thymocytes. It is highly expressed in CD4+CD8+ double-positive thymocytes and at lower levels in mature T cells. Themis associates with PLC gamma 1 and LAT and is phosphorylated by SLP-76 following TCR signaling. There are five isoforms of mouse Themis produced by alternative splicing.
