Product Specific Information
- MIA1401 can be used as a detection antibody in sandwich ELISA with Product #710263 as the coating antibody, forming a matched pair.
- Detects recombinant human Apo A-1, but not recombinant mouse Apo A-1.
- Not recommended to use Product #701239 for coating when MIA1401 is used for detection.
- Suitable for detecting Apo A-1 from serum samples.
- For increased sensitivity, use a biotinylated detection antibody followed by Streptavidin-HRP.
- By Western blot, MIA1401 detects recombinant human Apo A-1 but may not effectively detect endogenous Apo A-1.
- Previously sold under the Seradyn brand.

Apolipoprotein A-1 (Apo A-1) is a major protein component of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in human plasma, with a molecular mass of 24 kDa. It acts as a cofactor for enzymes involved in cholesterol metabolism and is produced in the liver. Plasma concentration typically ranges from 270–380 mg/100 mL.
