Product Specific Information

This NGZB monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Granzyme B, a member of the granzyme serine protease family found in cytotoxic T cells and NK cells. Granzyme B (also known as CGL1 or CTLA-1) is expressed only in cytotoxic T lymphocytes after activation and plays a key role in inducing apoptosis in target cells via interaction with the mannose 6-phosphate receptor.

This antibody does not cross-react with human Granzyme B and recognizes a distinct epitope from GB11.

Applications Tested: Tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of stimulated mouse splenocytes using the Intracellular Fixation and Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product # 88-8824-00).

Recommended usage ≤ 0.125 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Optimize antibody titration for best results.

Target Information

Granzyme B is a serine protease found in the granules of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells. It induces apoptosis through both caspase cascade activation (via caspase-3 cleavage) and mitochondrial pathways (via Bid cleavage). Granzymes (A–G in mouse) are stored in lytic granules of CTLs and NK cells, mediating target cell death upon immune activation.
