Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
ZBED1 (also known as DREF) is the human homolog of the Drosophila DREF protein, a transcriptional regulatory factor essential for genes involved in DNA replication and cell proliferation. RNAi experiments targeting ZBED1 RNA inhibited S-phase entry and reduced histone H1 mRNA in HeLa cells, indicating its role in cell proliferation.
ZBED1 binds promoter regions of at least 22 ribosomal protein genes; RNAi against ZBED1 decreases RP gene expression. Immunoprecipitation analyses show ZBED1 self-associates via a carboxyl-terminal hATC domain, required for nuclear localization and DNA binding.
