For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

IFITM2 is an IFN-induced antiviral protein that inhibits viral entry into host cell cytoplasm by allowing endocytosis but preventing viral fusion and release of viral contents into the cytosol.
It is active against multiple viruses including influenza A virus, SARS-CoV, Marburg virus (MARV), Ebola virus (EBOV), Dengue virus (DNV), West Nile virus (WNV), HIV-1, and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV).
It can inhibit viral entry mediated by influenza virus hemagglutinin, MARV and EBOV GP1,2, SARS-CoV S protein, and VSV G protein.
Additionally, IFITM2 induces cell cycle arrest and mediates apoptosis via caspase activation in a p53-independent manner.
