Product Specific Information
- 1 µg/mL of MA5-45557 detects Clcn3 in 20 µg of rat brain membrane lysate (colorimetric immunoblot using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP).
- Detects approximately 90 kDa.
- Does not cross-react with Clcn4 or Clcn5 (based on KO validation).
- Formerly sold as clone S258-5.
Target Information
CLCN3 mediates chloride/proton exchange, functioning as an antiporter contributing to endosome and synaptic vesicle acidification. It may influence vesicle trafficking, exocytosis, and neuronal excitability regulation by protein kinase C, playing a role in short-term memory formation.
