Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45555 was sufficient for detection of Clcn3 in 20 µg of rat brain membrane lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 90 kDa. Does not cross-react with Clcn4 or Clcn5 (based on KO validation results).
This antibody was formerly sold as clone S258-5.
Target Information
CLCN3 mediates the exchange of chloride ions against protons, functioning as an antiporter contributing to acidification of endosomes and synaptic vesicles. It plays a role in neuronal cell function and may affect membrane excitability and short-term memory formation.
