Target Information

Rb is a tumor suppressor nuclear phosphoprotein capable of binding DNA. It is phosphorylated on serine and threonine residues and forms complexes with SV40 large T antigen, adenovirus E1A, and HPV-16 E.
Rb regulates transcription, and its loss leads to uncontrolled cell growth. Mutations in the RB gene are associated with cancers of the breast, colon, prostate, kidney, nasopharynx, and leukemia.
