• Heat-mediated antigen retrieval using sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for paraffin sections.
• For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
• Clone R3-63 has been reported to block mouse APN enzyme activity.
• Low-endotoxin, preservative-free formulation with endotoxin level <0.01 EU/µg.
• Rat anti-Mouse CD13 antibody (clone R3-63) recognizes mouse aminopeptidase N (APN), a cell surface protein homologous to human CD13.

Target Information

CD13 (ANPEP) is a 150–170 kDa type II transmembrane zinc-binding ectopeptidase expressed on various cell types.
It functions as a metalloprotease that removes neutral amino acids from small peptides, activating or inactivating bioactive peptides.
CD13 plays roles in extracellular matrix degradation, antigen processing, signal transduction, inflammatory responses, intercellular contact regulation, cell motility, and vascularization.
It is expressed by granulocytes, monocytes, and myeloid leukemia cells, associated with poor prognosis in carcinomas, and serves as an alpha receptor for coronavirus.
