P73 (TP73)는 DNA 손상에 대한 아폽토시스 반응에 관여합니다.
Transactivation domain을 포함하는 isoform은 pro-apoptotic 역할을 하며, 해당 도메인이 없는 isoform은 anti-apoptotic 작용을 하여 p53 및 transactivating p73 isoform의 기능을 억제할 수 있습니다.
종양 억제 단백질로 작용할 가능성이 있습니다.
