Target Information
Transferrin receptor는 리간드가 결합된 transferrin receptor가 특수한 엔도솜으로 내재화되어 철분이 세포 내로 흡수되는 과정에 관여합니다. 엔도솜의 산성화는 철분 방출을 유도하며, apotransferrin-receptor 복합체는 세포 표면으로 재활용되어 pH가 중성으로 돌아오면서 apotransferrin이 receptor로부터 분리됩니다.
이 수용체는 적혈구 및 신경계 발달에 필수적이며, 혈청 transferrin receptor (sTfR)는 erythropoietin(EPO) 오용 탐지 및 다양한 원인에 의한 빈혈 진단(류마티스 관절염, 임신, 과민성 장 증후군, HIV 감염 등)에 활용됩니다.
