The MQ1-17H12 antibody reacts with human interleukin-2 (IL-2), a 17 kDa T cell growth factor and major immunoregulatory cytokine. This antibody is non-neutralizing.

• Applications Reported: Intracellular flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for intracellular staining and flow cytometry of stimulated normal human peripheral blood cells.

Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is an immunomodulatory cytokine essential for the proliferation of activated T cells and differentiation of B cells, NK cells, monocytes, and macrophages.
IL-2 signals through the IL-2 receptor (IL-2R), a heterotrimeric complex sharing its gamma chain with IL-4 and IL-7 receptors.
In mice, disruption of an IL-2-like gene results in ulcerative colitis-like disease, highlighting its critical role in immune regulation.
