Product Specific Information
- In sandwich ELISAs, less than 0.1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Amphiregulin, Betacellulin, Epiregulin, and recombinant mouse Epigen is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
HBEGF is a growth factor that mediates its effects via EGFR, ERBB2, and ERBB4. It is required for normal cardiac valve formation and heart function. HBEGF promotes smooth muscle cell proliferation and may be involved in macrophage-mediated cellular proliferation. It is mitogenic for fibroblasts but not for endothelial cells. It binds EGFR with higher affinity than EGF and acts as a diphtheria toxin receptor.
