Product Specific Information

This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Advantages include:

  • High specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broad immunoreactivity due to the large rabbit immune repertoire

This antibody specifically recognizes Human CD89/FCAR.

Target Information

The FCAR gene encodes a receptor for the Fc region of IgA and belongs to the immunoglobulin gene superfamily.
This transmembrane glycoprotein is expressed on myeloid lineage cells (neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, eosinophils) and mediates immune responses to pathogens.
It interacts with IgA-opsonized targets, triggering defense mechanisms such as:

  • Phagocytosis
  • Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity
  • Release of inflammatory mediators

Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
