Product Specific Information

This CB3-1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD79b, the B cell antigen receptor Ig-beta chain. Together with the Ig-alpha chain (CD79a), this molecule forms a heterodimeric complex that associates with membrane immunoglobulin (mIgM). CD79b expression is exclusive to B lymphocytes and B cell lymphomas. Depending on the maturation state of the B cell, CD79b can be expressed either in the cytoplasm or on the cell surface. The CD79 receptor complex triggers numerous signaling pathways to mediate B cell development, maintenance, and activation.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis and immunoblotting (WB).
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Can be used at ≤0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Recommended to titrate for optimal performance.

Target Information
