The eBioSAM-1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human integrin alpha 5 (fibronectin receptor alpha chain, CD49e).
Integrins are composed of alpha and beta chains that non-covalently associate to form functional integrins involved in cell adhesion and signaling.
Integrin alpha 5 pairs with beta 1 (CD29) to form the fibronectin receptor (VLA-5 complex).
Expression is found on thymocytes, T cells, monocytes, platelets, early and activated B cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry.
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood cells (≤0.25 µg/test).
A test is defined as the amount of antibody staining a cell sample in 100 µL volume.
Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.
Antibody titration is recommended for optimal assay performance.
