Target Information
XPD는 뉴클레오타이드 절제 복구 경로에 관여하는 단백질로, DNA 손상을 복구하는 메커니즘의 일부입니다. 이 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 전사 결합형 뉴클레오타이드 절제 복구에 관여하며, 기본 전사 인자 복합체 BTF2/TFIIH의 구성원입니다. XPD는 ATP 의존성 DNA 헬리케이스 활성을 가지며 RAD3/XPD 헬리케이스 하위 패밀리에 속합니다. 이 유전자의 결함은 xeroderma pigmentosum 그룹 D, trichothiodystrophy, Cockayne 증후군 등 여러 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다. 다양한 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
