Anti-Histone H3 [Asym-dimethyl Arg17] reacts with human Histone H3.2.
BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with Human, Mouse, and C. elegans.
Predicted to react with Rat, Chicken, Xenopus, Drosophila, and Plant based on 100% sequence homology.
Cross-reactivity with Histone H3 from other sources has not been determined.

Target Information

Histone H3 is one of the DNA-binding proteins found in chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, H3 binds DNA to form the nucleosome structure.
Histones play key roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications of histones can alter chromatin structure or facilitate transcription factor binding.
The N-terminal tail of Histone H3 undergoes various modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influencing cellular processes.
