Product Specific Information
The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb). CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors. It associates with CD61 (gpIIIa, integrin beta III) to form a receptor crucial for platelet adhesion and aggregation via fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin binding.
CD41 expression is useful for identifying hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) when combined with SLAM-family markers CD48 and CD150. CD150⁺CD48⁻CD41⁻ cells are highly efficient in long-term multilineage reconstitution.

Target Information
CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) consists of alpha (120 kDa) and beta (23 kDa) subunits that interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form a functional adhesive receptor. It mediates platelet aggregation and binds to von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin. CD41 is mainly expressed in the megakaryocyte-platelet lineage and during early hematopoietic differentiation.
Associated diseases include Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet type-16 bleeding disorder.
