Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is lung carcinoma.
Target Information
ERCC1 is a non-catalytic component of a structure-specific DNA repair endonuclease responsible for the 5′-incision during DNA repair. It collaborates with SLX4 in the repair of interstrand cross-links (ICL) and participates in processing anaphase bridge-generating DNA structures that arise during S or G2 phase, potentially leading to cytokinesis failure.
ERCC1 is also required for homology-directed repair (HDR) of DNA double-strand breaks, in conjunction with SLX4. (Source: Uniprot)
