Target Information
Occludin은 약 65 kDa 단백질로, 다양한 인산화 형태(최대 약 82 kDa)로 존재합니다. 세포 간 접촉 부위의 밀착연접(tight junction) 기능과 위치 조절에 관여하며, polyunsaturated fatty acids에 의해 발현이 증가하여 세포 투과성을 감소시킵니다. 뇌 조직에서는 높은 수준으로 지속적으로 발현되며, 비신경 조직에서는 낮고 불연속적인 분포를 보입니다. Occludin의 구조적 특징은 여러 종에서 보존되어 있으며, 발현 저하는 종양 혈관의 투과성 증가와 관련된 주요 분자적 이상으로 알려져 있습니다.
