Target Information
MUPP1 (multi PDZ domain protein 1, MPDZ)는 5-HT2C 수용체와 상호작용하는 단백질로 발견되었으며, 5-HT2A 및 5-HT2C 수용체와 함께 생쥐 뇌의 여러 부위(맥락총 포함)에서 공위치합니다.
이 단백질은 13개의 PDZ 도메인을 포함하지만 명확한 촉매 도메인은 없습니다. MUPP1은 극성 상피세포의 밀착연접(tight junction)에 집중되어 있으며, claudin-1 및 junctional adhesion molecule (JAM)과 결합합니다.
따라서 MUPP1은 다양한 단백질을 밀착연접으로 유도하는 다가 스캐폴드 단백질로 기능할 수 있습니다. 또한 claudin-8과 상호작용하여 밀착연접 장벽 기능에 관여할 수 있습니다.
