Description:
This PLK-1 monoclonal antibody recognizes human MARCO (SR-A6, SCARA2).
Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometric analysis of human monocyte-derived macrophages.
Recommended use: 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (final volume 100 µL).
Applicable cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light.
Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-34) for up to 3 days in the dark at 4°C with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency/compensation. Clone-specific performance should be determined empirically.

488–561 nm / 775 nm

MARCO (Macrophage Receptor with Collagenous Structure):
Also known as SR-A6 or SCARA2, MARCO is a macrophage surface receptor and member of the class A scavenger receptor family.
It binds Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria through an extracellular SRCR domain.
The protein forms trimeric structures via collagenous domain association.
Due to its expression in tumor-infiltrating macrophages and immunosuppressive role in tumor microenvironments, MARCO is a potential target for cancer immunotherapy.
