• In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Dectin-2 alpha is observed.
• Less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Dectin-1/CLEC7A is observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS before use.

Target Information

Dectin-2 is a C-type lectin expressed by dendritic cells, macrophages, and inflammatory monocytes. It is a type II membrane receptor with a short cytoplasmic tail and a C-terminal C-type lectin domain. Dectin-2 recognizes high mannose structures and mediates cytokine production from dendritic cells and other antigen-presenting cells.

Although Dectin-2 lacks classical signaling motifs, it associates with FcRγ to enable internalization and activation of the NF-κB pathway for cytokine production. Despite sharing only 20–25% homology with Dectin-1, Dectin-2 functions similarly as a pattern recognition receptor (PRR) for fungal infections, activating both innate (Syk–CARD9 signaling) and adaptive immune responses through dendritic cell activation. Thus, Dectin-2 serves as a connector molecule between innate and adaptive immunity.
