Target Information
ATG3 (APG3)는 APG8 지질화에 관여하는 결합 효소로, 자가포식(autophagy)의 개시 단계에 필수적인 역할을 합니다. 자가포식은 세포 단백질을 자가포식소체-리소좀 경로를 통해 분해하는 과정으로, 세포 성장 조절과 영양 결핍 시 세포 내 성분의 정상적인 회전에 중요합니다.
이 과정은 TOR(rapamycin 표적 단백질)에 의해 음성 조절되며, ATG3는 Atg8-PE 결합체 형성을 촉매하여 자가포식소체 형성 초기 단계에서 E2 유사 효소로 작용합니다.
