Glucocorticoid Receptor (NR3C1)는 글루코코르티코이드에 결합하는 수용체로, 전사 인자 및 다른 전사 인자의 조절자로 작용합니다. 이 단백질은 평상시 세포질에 존재하며, 리간드 결합 시 핵으로 이동합니다. 심장 조직 전반(좌/우 심방, 좌/우 심실, 대동맥 등)에서 발현되며, 다양한 스플라이싱 및 프로모터 사용으로 여러 전사 변이체를 형성합니다. GR은 chaperone 단백질 복합체와 결합해야 활성화되며, dexamethasone과 같은 스테로이드에 나노몰 수준의 친화도로 결합합니다.
