Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the transmembrane 4 superfamily (tetraspanin family). Most members are cell-surface proteins with four hydrophobic domains and mediate signal transduction events involved in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth, and motility. This encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein, highly similar to transmembrane 4 superfamily member 2. Alternate polyadenylation sites have been identified for this gene.
