Target Information
WISP2는 WNT1 유도 신호 경로(WISP) 단백질 하위군에 속하며, connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) 패밀리에 속합니다.
WNT1은 다양한 발달 과정을 매개하는 시스테인-풍부 당단백질 패밀리의 구성원입니다.
CTGF 패밀리 단백질은 네 가지 보존된 시스테인-풍부 도메인(IGF-binding, von Willebrand factor type C, thrombospondin, C-terminal cystine knot-like domain)을 특징으로 합니다.
WISP2는 CT 도메인이 결여되어 있어 이합체화 및 헤파린 결합 기능이 제한됩니다.
이 단백질은 마우스 단백질과 72%의 아미노산 수준 동일성을 가지며, WNT1 신호 경로 하류에서 종양 변형에 관련될 수 있습니다.
대장 종양에서는 발현이 감소하며, 다른 WISP 단백질들은 과발현됩니다.
또한 뼈 조직에서 높은 수준으로 발현되어, 골대사 조절에 중요한 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
