Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Pre-mRNA splicing occurs in two sequential transesterification steps. The protein encoded by this gene is essential for the catalytic step II in the pre-mRNA splicing process. It is found in the spliceosome and contains seven WD repeats that function in protein-protein interactions. This protein shows sequence similarity to yeast Prp17 protein, which functions in pre-mRNA splicing and cell cycle progression, suggesting a role in cell cycle regulation.
