APLNR (Apelin Receptor)는 G 단백질 결합 수용체(GPCR) 유전자 패밀리에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 안지오텐신 수용체와 유사하지만, 실제로는 아펠린(apelin) 수용체로서 아데닐산 사이클라아제 활성을 억제하고 안지오텐신 II의 혈압 상승 작용에 대한 상반 조절 역할을 합니다. 심혈관계 및 중추신경계 기능, 포도당 대사, 배아 및 종양 혈관신생, HIV-1 공동수용체 역할 등 다양한 생리적 과정에 관여합니다. 대체 스플라이싱에 의해 생성된 두 가지 전사 변이가 확인되어 있습니다.
