APLNR (Apelin Receptor)는 G 단백질 결합 수용체 유전자 패밀리에 속합니다. Angiotensin 수용체와 유사하지만, adenylate cyclase 활성을 억제하며 angiotensin II의 혈압 상승 작용에 대해 조절적 역할을 수행합니다.
심혈관계 및 중추신경계 기능, 포도당 대사, 배아 및 종양 혈관신생, HIV-1 코수용체로서의 역할 등 다양한 생리적 과정에 관여합니다.
두 가지 전사 변이가 대체 스플라이싱을 통해 확인되었습니다.
