Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

Endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 (ERAP1) is a 120 kDa protein localized in the ER lumen.
It removes N-terminal residues from antigenic precursors for MHC class I peptide presentation.
Peptides presented by MHC class I are typically 8–11 residues long, and ERAP1 trims peptides of 9 or more amino acids.
ERAP1 expression is induced by interferon-gamma, and the human gene maps to chromosome 5q15.

ERAP1 is also known as:

  • Adipocyte-derived leucine aminopeptidase (A-LAP)
  • Puromycin-insensitive leucine-specific aminopeptidase (PILS-AP)
  • Aminopeptidase regulator of TNFR1 shedding (ARTS-1)

A-LAP inactivates bioactive peptides such as angiotensin II, potentially regulating blood pressure.
PILS-AP contributes to angiogenesis by modulating endothelial cell proliferation and migration.
ARTS-1 acts as a TNFR1-binding protein that promotes TNFR1 shedding.
Further research is required to fully elucidate the functions of ERAP1.
