Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody ZM4.1 recognizes ILT3 (CD85k), a member of the ILT/LIR/MIR family.
ILT3 is a 60 kDa transmembrane protein with two Ig domains and ITIMs, expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells, including plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs).
ILT3 expression on DCs is required for induction of regulatory T cells (Tregs). ZM4.1 blocks the suppressive function of Tregs in vitro.

Applications Tested:

• Tested on normal human peripheral blood cells
• Recommended ≤ 0.25 µg/test (in 100 µL final volume)
• Optimal concentration should be titrated per assay requirements

Target Information

This gene belongs to the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family located on chromosomal region 19q13.4.
The encoded receptor contains 2–4 extracellular Ig domains, a transmembrane domain, and 2–4 ITIMs.
Expressed on immune cells, it binds MHC class I molecules on antigen-presenting cells to inhibit immune stimulation.
Functions include antigen capture/presentation and regulation of inflammatory and cytotoxic responses to prevent autoreactivity.
Multiple transcript variants encode different isoforms.
