Description:
The eBio17G10.2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human immunoglobulin-like transcript 7 (ILT7), also known as CD85g. ILT7 is part of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) gene family and associates with Fc epsilon R1 gamma to form a functional complex that transduces ITAM-mediated signals, negatively modulating TLR-induced type I IFN production by human plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs). ILT7 is expressed exclusively on pDCs and is absent in monocyte-derived DCs. Treatment with IL-3 or CpG decreases its expression.
Double staining of human PBMCs with eBio17G10.2 and anti-pDC marker BDCA2 yields nearly complete co-staining. Cross-linking of ILT7 with this antibody reduces transcription of IFN alpha1, alpha2, alpha4, and IFN beta.

This antibody is reported for use in flow cytometry and functional assays.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤1 µg/test (in 100 µL final volume). Cell number should be determined empirically (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Target Information
ILT7 is a pDC-specific immunoglobulin-like transcript and a member of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor gene family. In complex with FcER1a, it transduces ITAM-mediated signals that negatively regulate type I IFN production by pDCs. ILT7 is a potential target for modulating type I IFN production during viral infection, autoimmune diseases, and anti-cancer immunity. Along with CD123 and BDCA-2, ILT7 can be used to identify or classify pDC subsets based on TLR expression and TLR-mediated immune responses.
