Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is brain tissue.
Target Information
G-rich sequence factor 1 (GRSF1) is a regulator of post-transcriptional mitochondrial gene expression. It is required for assembly of the mitochondrial ribosome and for recruitment of mRNA and lncRNA.
GRSF1 binds RNAs containing the 14-base G-rich element and preferentially binds RNAs transcribed from three contiguous genes on the light strand of mtDNA: ND6 mRNA, and the long non-coding RNAs for MT-CYB and MT-NDS, each of which contains multiple consensus binding sequences.
