Product Specific Information

The RA3-6B2 monoclonal antibody reacts with exon A-restricted isoform of mouse CD45, a 220 kDa surface molecule. CD45R/B220 epitope is mainly expressed by B cell lineage from early Pro-B to mature B cells. Some activated T cells, lymphokine activated killer cells (LAK), NK cell progenitors in bone marrow, and T cells of lpr/lpr mutant mice also express this antigen.

Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse spleen cells; optimal performance at ≤0.25 µg/test.

Target Information

CD45R (PTPRC) is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, regulating cellular processes such as growth, differentiation, and signal transduction. CD45 is specifically expressed in hematopoietic cells and is essential for T- and B-cell receptor signaling. It exists in multiple isoforms via alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions. CD45 plays roles in lymphocyte development, integrin-mediated signaling, and apoptosis. CD45RA is a restricted isoform among lymphoid subtypes. Dysfunction is associated with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency and Hepatitis C.
