Description

STEM-CELLBANKER® DMSO Free GMP grade is a chemically defined freezing solution that does not contain DMSO as an anti-freezing agent. It was developed for customers who prefer DMSO-free cryopreservation solutions.
This product is completely free of serum and animal-derived components, containing only USP, EP, and JP-graded ingredients or JP excipients.
Manufactured in a facility compliant with JP, EU, US, and PIC/S GMP guidelines, production and quality are controlled under JP GMP standards.

Application

When tested in the following cells, 80–90% viability was observed:

Protocol

Freezing

For optimum results, cells should be in the log phase of growth. Standard freezing protocols may be substituted.

1. Ensure cell culture is healthy and contamination-free.
2. Perform a cell count to determine viability.
3. Centrifuge gently (3–5 min, 1,000–2,000 rpm, 4℃) and remove supernatant.
4. Resuspend cells in STEM-CELLBANKER® (1 mL for 5×10⁵–5×10⁶ cells).
5. Dispense 1 mL aliquots into labeled cryovials.
6. Freeze directly at -80℃ or use a programmable freezer. After ≥24 hours, transfer to liquid nitrogen if needed.

Procedure for Use (from image):

1. Culture
2. Centrifuge
3. Remove Supernatant
4. Suspend with CELBANKER
5. Aliquot
6. -80°C (directly)
7. Optional

Thawing

1. Remove frozen cells and thaw quickly in a 37°C shaking water bath.
2. Immediately dilute each 1 mL of cells with 10 mL of complete culture medium (CELLOTION® recommended).
3. Centrifuge gently (3–5 min, 1,000–2,000 rpm, 4℃) and remove supernatant.
4. Resuspend cells in complete medium and plate in culture flask.
5. Continue culture per standard protocols.

Storage and Stability

• Store at 2–8℃ or below -20℃.
• Stable for 3 years from manufacture date under unopened and proper storage conditions (2–8℃).
