Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody eBio440c recognizes Siglec-H, a protein exclusively found on plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDC) or type I IFN-producing cells (IPC) in naive mice.
Mouse IPC are typically PDCA+, CD11c+, CD11b-, B220+, and Ly-6C+, and respond rapidly to viral infection.
Siglec-H is a transmembrane protein of the Ig superfamily that binds sialic acid but lacks the ITIM domain. It associates with DAP12 to allow signal transduction.

The eBio440c antibody inhibits pDC function (reduces IFNα secretion in response to CpG).
Some mouse strains (e.g., SJL) show higher pDC percentages compared to C57BL/6.
