Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily. ABC proteins transport various molecules across cellular membranes and are divided into seven subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White).
This protein, a member of the MDR/TAP subfamily, is involved in multidrug resistance as an ATP-dependent drug efflux pump with broad substrate specificity. It reduces drug accumulation in multidrug-resistant cells and mediates resistance to anticancer drugs. Additionally, it functions as a transporter in the blood-brain barrier.
