SERPINH1은 세린 단백질분해효소 억제제(superfamily of serine proteinase inhibitors)인 serpin 계열 단백질로, 열충격에 의해 발현이 유도됩니다. 이 단백질은 소포체 내강에 위치하며 콜라겐과 결합하여 콜라겐 분자의 성숙 과정에서 분자 샤페론 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 류머티즘 관절염 환자에서 SERPINH1에 대한 자가항체가 발견된 바 있습니다.
