Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

MEF2C is a transcription activator that binds specifically to the MEF2 element in regulatory regions of many muscle-specific genes. It controls cardiac morphogenesis, myogenesis, and vascular development, and plays a key role in hippocampal-dependent learning and memory by regulating synaptic transmission. MEF2C is crucial for neuronal development, megakaryocyte and platelet formation, and bone marrow B lymphopoiesis. It is also required for B-cell survival, proliferation, and normal germinal center formation. Isoforms lacking the repressor domain (isoform 3 and 4) are more active than isoform 1 and 2.
