Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform additional desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The melanoma-associated antigen (MAGE) family includes antigens recognized by cytotoxic T lymphocytes. MAGE genes were first identified in various tumor types and are characterized by tumor-specific expression in adult tissues, making them valuable targets for cancer immunotherapy.
MAGE genes encode tumor-rejection antigens expressed in tumors and normal testis and placenta. MAGE-B18 is a 343 amino acid protein with one MAGE domain and may play a role in tumorigenesis. The MAGE-B18 gene is located on the human X chromosome, containing approximately 153 million base pairs and over 1,000 genes.
