Product Specific Information
The MEM-15 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, interfollicular macrophages, and some dendritic cells. Complexes of LPS and LBP bind with high affinity to monocytes through surface CD14.
Each product contains:
- 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
- 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry on normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.1 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for optimal results.
This conjugate ships with CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01), which improves staining performance. Add 5 µL of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer per sample or per 100 µL of cell suspension for single-color controls.
NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, based on novel nucleic acid dye structures engineered for optimized fluorescent signatures and minimal spectral spillover.

Target Information
CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on mature monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a lipopolysaccharide receptor and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. CD14 binds LPS via LBP, aiding immune recognition and response. It also interacts with apoptotic cells and participates in inflammatory and infectious processes.
Associated diseases include Mycobacterium chelonae infection and Croup.
