Product Specific Information

The MEM-15 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and some dendritic cells. CD14 binds LPS-LBP complexes with high affinity.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells
• Recommended Use: 4 µL (0.6 µg) per 100 µL test volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assessment.
• Use CellBlox Blocking Buffer (5 µL/sample) when staining with NovaFluor conjugates, including single-color controls.

Target Information

CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a receptor for lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and is present in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. CD14 plays roles in immune recognition, inflammation, and apoptotic cell clearance. Mutations or dysregulation are associated with infections and inflammatory diseases.
