The MEM-15 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, interfollicular macrophages, and some dendritic cells. Complexes of LPS and LBP bind with high affinity to monocytes via surface CD14.

Each product contains:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells.
Recommended usage: 5 µL (1.0 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assessment.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining with NovaFluor conjugates.
Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails/master mixes before combining with cells.
For single-color controls: add 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, enabling engineered fluorescent signatures with minimized spillover and spread.

Target Information

CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on mature monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a lipopolysaccharide receptor and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. CD14 binds LPS via LBP, contributing to immune response regulation and recognition of apoptotic cells.
Associated diseases include mycobacterium chelonae infection and Croup.
Alternative splicing yields multiple transcript variants encoding the same CD14 isoform.
