The monoclonal mouse IgG2b kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Tested on normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes; use at same concentration as experimental antibody
- Fluorochrome: Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 661 (BUV661), emits at 660 nm, optimized for UV laser (355 nm) detection
- Light Sensitivity: Protect from light; sensitive to photo-induced oxidation
- Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark
- Recommended Buffers: Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions

Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G produced by B cells in response to antigens. It plays key roles in:
- Opsonization and complement activation
- Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity
- Regulation of immune responses (T cell activation and B cell inhibition)
