Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is a key cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves three classes of enzymes:
- E1: Ubiquitin-activating enzymes
- E2: Ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes
- E3: Ubiquitin-protein ligases
The UBE2J1 gene encodes an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme located in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. It may play a role in endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD) via the ubiquitin-proteasome system.
