Themis는 세포질 단백질로서 단일 양성 흉선세포(thymocytes)의 양성 선택과 발달에 필수적입니다. CD4+CD8+ 이중 양성 흉선세포에서 가장 높은 수준으로 발현되며, 성숙한 T 세포에서는 낮은 수준으로 발현됩니다. Themis는 Grb1뿐만 아니라 PLCγ1 및 LAT와도 결합하며, TCR 신호 전달 후 SLP-76에 의해 빠르게 인산화됩니다. 마우스 Themis는 대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 5개의 아이소폼을 가집니다.
